Eric Livny is Partner and Senior Policy Advisor with ACT-Global, Georgia’s leading research and consulting firm, and President at Tbilinomics Foundation, an education policy think tank. Living in Georgia since 2007, Mr. Livny was the founding director and president at the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) and the affiliated ISET Policy Institute. In 2015-2017, he advised Georgia’s Ministers of Economic and Sustainable Development Dimitri Kumsishvili and Giorgi Gakharia. In addition to his business responsibilities, Eric chairs the Economic Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC-Georgia) and serves as Senior Advisor to the Rector of the Caucasus University and the Finnish International School project. Eric’s research and policy consulting interests span a very wide range of issues: from education and labor market reforms to (new) industrial policy, rural development and agricultural policies, quality of the business environment and national competitiveness. He is a regular contributor to the Tbilinomics Tamada Blog and a columnist with Georgia Today.
