Mr. Levan Davitashvili is a Minister of Agriculture of Georgia. Prior to this position he was the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia. Previously, during 2012-2014, he was the Chairman of National Wine Agency of Georgia. In 2010, Mr Davitashvili became a Member of the Board of Georgian Wine Producers Union and lately, in 2011, he was appointed as a Chairman of the Board. Also, he held several positions during 2007-2009, he had been a Director of Sales and Marketing at Wine Company Schuchmann Wines Georgia; Head of Marketing Department of USAID Agricultural Development Project Ag Vantage; General Manager of Wine Company Tsinandali Old Cellar. Furthermore, he held a position of Senior Business Consultant at World Bank Enterprise Restructuring and Management Assistance Program. In 1999, he was appointed as a Head of Social tax Department in Revenue Services of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and before that, he was a Head of Standards and Regulations Department State Insurance Supervision Service of Georgia. Mr. Davitashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University, Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s Degree in International Business Management. Besides, he holds Executive Master of Business Administration from MIP Milano.
