Natia Turnava is the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia since April 2019. During 2013-2018 she was a Deputy CEO of the Partnership fund. From 2006 to 2013 Ms. Turnava was taking a positions of Board Member of Georgian Industrial Group (GIG), CEO of Georgian International Energy Corporation (GIEC) and a Head of Board of Directors. Prior to these positions, in 2000-2006 she was the First Deputy Minister of Economy of Georgia. Also, Ms. Turnava held a position of Deputy Secretary of Security Council. Furthermore, from 1998 to 2000 Ms. Turnava had been Deputy Head of Financial and Budgetary Commission at Tbilisi City Council. During 1997-2000 she was actively involved in politics and took a positions of State Advisor at State Chancellery, Deputy Head of Financial and Budgetary Commission, Deputy Head of Economic Service, Acting Parliamentary Secretary of the President. On her early stages of career, she was a Lecturer and Leading Scientist at Georgian Institute of Politics as well as Invited lecturer at various universities. Ms. Turnava holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, MBA degree from UK University of Cambria (Zurich) and is PhD in Economics from Tbilisi State University. Also, she took Crash courses at Harvard and IMF in Collaboration with Robert Kennedy College. Natia Turnava is an Author of up to 40 scientific works, articles, monographies and 2 books.
